Common Thread is a local journal for the work that happens between official announcements. We pay attention to who opens a room, keeps a list, offers a ride, remembers the date and asks a second question when the first answer is not enough.
Community stories can be tender without being vague. We name the practical details because they are what make a project repeatable: a meeting time, a route, the cost of materials, the person who knows where the key is kept. That is where trust lives.
Our current notebook follows an allotment garden through the first weeks of planting. It is a story about seedlings, but also about the small rituals that turn a vacant edge of land into a place people look after together.
